Yarnell-Bagdad and the Fellas on the EAST SIDE
Karl/Dave/Mike, Do any of you intend on making this run? If so, let's meet somewhere and go together. How about the Standard Station at Recker and McDowell about 8:00 AM, Saturday?

Sounds fine to me. How about Mike B? Don't know if Mesa Dave will feel confident enough about his dinged wheel or not to make the trip. Brian, this would be a good chance to burn up a couple hundred dollars worth of gas?? Yer car's not broken again, is it? Should be a great day for a drive. Anyone else from Gods's Country?

I've sent MikeB an email.. Hope it's his current email address. Can we get to Wickenburg in time if we leave here at 8:00?
Dave, Any luck with the wheel place a suggested?

Google Maps says 84 miles, 1hour and 35 min for regular folks. Better leave extra time for Karl's pit stop (small bladder), repair for that Chebby motor and to ask directions.

Bob B, the bladder's not too small, the evacuation hose is just SO long it takes a while to empty.

Karl, I know EXACTLY what you mean. That's why there are those "low" urinals in men's rooms. By the way, is anyone concerned that we will be following Mikie? Top off your tank and pack a lunch. I'm bringing my GPS.

Those urinals wouldn't be so bad if the water wasn't so cold and deep!

Hope youse guys had a nice ride. I finally wound up having AAA tow me back to Mesa from Carefree. It took me a while to think about my kill switch being actually two switches, working off the same lever. The engine would crank but I wasn't getting anything out of the coil. After I got home, I was able to test and found no juice going into the coil either. Back tracked and bypassed the kill switch and the engine started on the first revolution. Lopers in Mesa didn't have a four terminal switch but will have one for me Tuesday. Car runs fine without it, but I need it to pass tech. First time in 11 years that the car wouldn't get me home. Darn Chebby anyway! Oh wait, the switch was a Longacre.

Karl, I didn't make it either. Went out to leave and car wouldn't start. Seemed like battery was dead. Took it to Pep Boys for new one. Tried to start again, same weak attempt. Still working on it. Did my spring yard work instead. Tomorrow will test voltage everywhere, especially pre and post solonoid.

Pulled carb, plugs and valve covers. Tightened all solonoid connections. Aired out motor for 24 hours. Voltage good everywhere. Put it all back together and it starts! Sounds good too. All is well now. Still don't know what the problem was. Going to guess loose connection, bad ground and cylinders were flooded with gas.
Clueless AZ Bob

Hey you guys, relax on all of that fixin' up stuff. Your cars are not suppose to brake down until April 12th BEFORE you reach Globe. Karl Killswitch ,now that has a good ring to it.
