It is called Hard top!

BPWilliams 04-22-2008 12:49 PM

Fitz, Tan Man,

We could leave and go up to Cottonwood and visit the Alancantara Winery, doubble back thru Jerome and then to Ash Fork?? The drive would be very nice and it is not that far out of our way? We would need to leave because I know of 3 other winery's in the area and we would never make it if we stopped at all of them:rolleyes:

Let us know....

tan man 04-22-2008 03:29 PM

BP
winery are always fun to go to. and you could make a great guide if we dont get lost.

BPWilliams 04-22-2008 04:52 PM

I will not get lost, been there before....

It is very nice the only draw back is it has a dirt road entry way... But if Fits has his SUV he can shuttle us in and we can leave our cars on the pavement which is near a Good Sam camp ground, matter of fact I think they have parking by the gard shack which would be perfect. The winery has excellent vintage, just like our cars......

Sound like a GO!

Fits chime in and seal the deal!

Leaving Early

Drivng the Cobra. Sounds / looks like we will be with main :(group. Bringing a guess from %/Chicago so Wifey wants to show her the back way drive with the group I guess. Could all change but for now it appears that way.

mikiec 04-22-2008 11:28 PM

Fitz...

Some of the group want to go straight to Flagstaff and then turn left.

I still prefer the back way.

Mike

BPWilliams 04-23-2008 08:22 AM

Well with that said what time is the back way group leaving? Barb wanted to go to Sleigman (spelling:confused:) on Friday before it gets packed with cars on Saturday.

Tan Man you still up for a two car break-away and leaving a littel earlier? We could still go by the winery but our cars will be dirty.....

Ahhh all the time and no plan......

mikiec 04-23-2008 08:46 AM

Tha backup group will be leaving from I-17 and Carefree Hwy about noon time.

MIkie, Is anyone going by regular car who could provide transport for a blind lady while I fly to Los Angeles and pick up my new Cobra and drive it back Friday to meet everyone in Williams that night? Linda will be in Arizona and would like to go, but I'll be in LA. Need some help with this one.
Thanks,

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 04-27-2008 07:23 PM

I'll be leaving my home about 3pm. Will meet up in Williams.

AZ Bob

mikiec 04-27-2008 10:18 PM

Dan,

When is Linda coming out? Ginny says if it's Thursday she could get her and Linda can spend the night here. Linda and Keith are taking their 06 Mustang and she could ride with them.

Mike

Fitz 04-27-2008 10:30 PM

I am 98% sure we will leave with the 10AM group and go the back way. We want Jo's sister to take it all in.

Danr55 04-28-2008 07:27 AM

Thanks Mike. I'll talk with her today and let you know what her plan is.

mikiec 04-28-2008 10:47 AM

Dan....

Great minds want to know... What did you buy?

Mike

Danr55 04-28-2008 11:01 AM

A bright red Contemporary.. I picked up the add from the Contemporary Forum.

mobilenuke 04-28-2008 12:28 PM

Jeez Dan, already got a new one to pick up. I languish in the " waiting for parts cost list from Anthem Motors" before any determination of what will happen. The body pieces can be purchased, but its all the little stuff that will add up. They haven't even taken apart anything yet to look further at frame or any other structure untill they know where they are at cost wise. Don't know who is luckier- you with a new one or me sitting here waiting. I could sit here for awhile and then be told it will be totaled or wait months for the fix. The empty spot in garage is SAD:( Have fun on the drive back.

Jeff

Danr55 04-28-2008 12:42 PM

That's too bad Jeff. The bottom line for repairs on mine was $54K+. That was providing they could find a body for it.. Guess I'm lucky is one respect, but I'd still rather have my car back. I understand the "sad spot in the garage" analogy.

Sorry Dan, can't see your new cobra from that link. Any other photos? Tell us about it.
Your freinds want to know. Me too.

Wow, nice car Dan. I am proud of you. A Big Block too! 4speed with 356 gear. Cruising will be at higher rpm. Paint and pipes look great. Engine compartment looks well thought out. Good going. I'll bet you can't wait. See you Friday night.
I've got a dollar for you.
AZ Bob
