Route 66 departures
Hey all...
This year there has been some discussion about departure time(s) and which route to take to go to Williams. This is what we have come up with due to varied schedules. There are a few cars that are leaving VERY early, they have coordinated their own time and meeting place. The meeting place will be the same as in previous years, at the gas station at Carefree Highway and I-17 (north east side). There is a group meeting/leaving at 10am and will go the old route, up through Chino Valley and will go to Seligman for a few hours and have lunch at Sno-Caps, before going on to Williams. There is a second group that will be meeting at 12:00-12:30 and going straight on up to Williams. They will probably go stright up I-17 to Flagstaff and then west on I-40 to Williams. Bob B. is going to leave later, around 3-3:30 (I think) and will go directly to Williams. We will plan to go to Max and Thelma's for dinner between 5:30-6:00. The idea is to get in before the train pulls in to the depot at 6:00. Sorry for any confusion, but the larger our group gets, the more diverse it becomes. We want to be sure that everyone knows who's going and that no one gets left behind. Looking forward to a great week-end. |
So there are 3 groups?
1. 10am from I-17 and Carefree 2. 12 noon from I-17 and Carefree 3. 3-3:30 from ?? My wife and I will join the 1st group. Who else is in this group besides BPWilliams and Tan Man? |
Mike,
The 10am group is most of the cobras. Brian and Stuart are leaving about 9am for a winery tour. Mike |

We will be at the Holiday Inn in Williams in the PM and will attempt to find you all around diiner time. If for any reason you want to get in touch with us our cell number is (1 818) 416-9953.
