Danr55,

Wow, that Heber parade looks like it was fun! The town is longer than 1/2 a block!

Next year, San Diego! I like it. We had 16 cars this year in the Scripps Ranch parade and it was a ball. I would love to see a bunch of AZ cars over here next year.

I vote for the Red Sails Inn myself. Great watering hole and restaurant right on San Diego Bay.

Let me know if you are serious! If so, I can help set things up in advance.

I am still anxiously awaiting final delivery of the cobra but we took a trip up to my daughters cabin in Munds park over the holiday and they had a great parade. It looks very similar to the one in heber. Small town, lots of floats, cars etc. The one in Munds park sadly had no Blue oval or cobra representation only those darn chebby's. It would be a fast trip up (under 2 hours from the valley) and the temp was a nice 80 degrees.

Skip, Linda and I were thinking about something in the August-September time frame for this year. Maybe Labor day weekend. Not sure what we can put together but it sounds like fun to me.. Can you find somewhere in the Dana Point/Laguna Beach area that would entertain a bunch of crazies for lunch? It would sure lend some class to I-5 to have 15 or 18 Cobras running the road.. San Juan Capistrano.. Even some shopping for the ladies...

Tombstone, Bisbee areas sometime in the future would be different. Gas is cheaper down that way too.%/

I'd vote for the Tombstone-Bisbee thing. Whole lot less driving on boring interstate highways. Never get very interested in crusing along side 18 wheelers in my roller skate since they could run me over and not even feel the bump.

I've been wanting to do that too. Patagonia is a nice drive and a cool little town.

Danr55 07-12-2008 08:14 AM

Isn't that wine country down that way? That could be an ineresting run.. Not as cool as the Kalifornia Coast, but a lot closer..

Maricopa 07-12-2008 08:38 AM

Yeah it is. I haven't explored down there a whole lot, just played a gig there and spent the night. Pretty town and not a bad drive from Tombstone.

Hey guys, I have kind'a moved this thought, a Tombstone-Bisbee drive, over to it's own thread. This one is 10 pages and it might be easier to find it on the new one. Just trying to help out. John
