IronMan
Hey, Steve...
I was talking to Stuart and he is thinking about a Lister. I told him about yours. He is interested in talikg a look at yours. Mike |
Whoa, The Tan Man needs something lighter and faster to go airborn a little easier?
|
Maybe he's looking for something a bit lower?
|
IRON Man needs to drive mine before buying anything. If I could sell my for "the price", I would turn around and get a Roush, Shelby, Mallet car? Wife would kick my ass but life is short!
|
Iron man my SPF is also for sale I have reduced price call 623-214-2874 for details if interested

Stuart might as well check out ""THE SCARAB"" scarab.motorsports.com ...As I understand it, talking to Pete Hinkel, head of sales and service, one will be here late summer early fall...Dave

Chaparral 2, 2D, 2E, 2F 2H, 2J, and 2K, are now on permanent display in the Chaparral Gallery of the Permian Basin Peroleum Museum in Midland Texas.
In 2005, in partnership with his old Chevrolet R&D friend Jim Musser, Hall starts a new venture with the 2E Continuation Series. Check this out I was part of the tech inpection team with the SCCA checking for oil leaks back in the late sixties at Elkhart Lake, Road America now. There was Jim Hall, Hap Sharp, Shelby, Mecom racing their cars. Good times |

Looks OK except for the awful color combination!
|
Maricopa, I like the nifty "cup holder" that's in place of the shifter. Maybe I should make my car a paddle or column shifter so I could have one like that.
|
Yep, looks like a 44 ouncer would fit in there. Perfect for driving in these nasty AZ summers!
|
Looks like the Flintstone-mobile of Cobras.. You'd need some serious shoe leather to get that to 125 mph in Arizona...
|
Stuart,
I finally got my Lister on the road, MVD nightmare but done. I am running a 350 Chevy about 460hp with a tremec t56 6 speed dual overdrive with 3.07 gears. I love my Cobra but there is no comparison to the Lister for speed or handling. You are welcome to look at it, but I start taking it apart for paint, etc. on Aug. 15th. I plan on running the Pro Auto Sports at Firebird on the 26th of Sept. and Run-N-Gun Oct, 8th-10th No actual times yet, but I hit 100mph in 3rd, and 140 at about 5000rpm in 4th, I have yet to go faster, but I have 2 more gears. Cruise is 85mph at 1600rpm in 6th, and over 20mpg in town |
Stuart, unless you can find someone getting rid of one (there aren't many) I think Lucra Cars is the only one building any.
|
Steve, were you at the DMV off Greenfield last Tuesday? Saw what I thought was a Lister in the parking lot, but didn't see you inside. Didn't want to go nosing around the car with no body around. What's the weight of that car? 1800#s or so? What a nice HP-wt ratio. yeppers

Karl,
Yes I was at the DMV. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I had to get a bonded title due to no MSO, But my inspection consisted of "Wow, what is it, sign here. I haven't weighed the car yet but I added a little extra weight by toughcoating the cockpit for sound and vibration, but it should be less than 2000# |
