Dan needs help.
Dan left me a message. Seems he needs help with the Jag Rear End of his Contemporary. Anybody in the gang familiar with this rear? Says he will do the work if you just guide him through it. Something about steaks and beer?

Linda should be the only one who is familiar with his rear end.
Does that mean I get steak and beer????

What's wrong with Dan's rear end ? Has it shifted ? Maybe it's just cracked and can be super glued together. Scott Collins down here takes his to a Jag specialist, expensive but good.

Gordon,
Dan's out of town for a few days. The read end is dis-assembled and the mechanic that was helping him has flaked out and not shown up for a few days. Something about replacing the pinon shaft. He needs help in the re-assembly of the rearend.
Dan, I can help with the labor but, like you will need some guidance.

Dan,
Take it to a known Jaguar specialist, fix it once and right. Your rear end can also be a safety concern. **)

Thanks for all the creative ideas guys.. especially my good friend Broberg.. or as they say in Japan, Blobelg..
The rear end is all the way down with the pinion drive shafts out and the bearings changed. I need to know about shim stack up for the output shafts and how to shim the output shafts when they are reinstalled into the diff... I've found a Jag manual in texas of all places and I'm going to bring that home with me and see if I can get what I need from that. I was just curious if we had anyone in the group who was familiar with Salsbury differentials who could help me put it back together..
