Marilyn's 2K open water swim
My wonderful wife has been training all summer at the Williams aquatic center for a 2K open water swim in Saguaro lake Sat. 9/19. We have to be there at 8:00 AM, a 3 hour drive from here. We would gladly pay for dinner out in exchange for a night's lodging on Friday night in the PHX area.

Bill, you and Marilyn are welcome to stay here. We aren't exactly close to Saguaro lake but as least we are in the PHX Metro area. My wife works Friday overnight. Leaves about 6pm Friday and comes home about 8am Saturday. We can knock down a few.
Is that your new cell number? I have different numbers for your cell and home. My guest room is a full size hospital bed, just right for you. I also have a fold out couch cot in the den. AZ Bob |
Be careful out on the lake as the lake has allot of boat traffic.

Danr55 Has a room!!
We have received a wonderful phone response for lodging from DANR55, who lives 20 min from the lake. Thanks to everyone else with their quick responses and offers.

Marilyn Did It!!
Marilyn swam for 1 hour 9 minutes and 47 seconds in somewhat choppy water using the same stroke (free style / crawl) the entire time!!!
Last spring, she would get tired after 4 laps in the Williams aquatic center indoor pool using the same stroke. She now has a problem with her shoulders from patting herself on the back for completing one of her greatest accomplishments. Many thanks to Dan who was a great host along with Murphy (the dog) and Marty (the young blond). We had a great time staying with them. Bill :D |
