Arntz on ebay

Looks to be a nice Arntz on eBay right now. Anyone know the market for these cars with a big block Ford?

I can't find it... The only Arntz I can find is the old body for sale http://bit.ly/1ikIwrQ

Do you have the link or ebay item number?

Ford Other Arntz Reproduction | eBay

Thanks for the link. The seller specified a sale only within USA, so unfortunately it doesn't show up in my search results. I'll have to set up a profile within USA so I don't miss out on seeing things :)

Is the Ebay car an Arntz? It seems to be a different shape to Dad's car and mine. Ours are both early cars, so maybe there were more changes than I realised moving towards and then onto the Butler cars.

Some things might be down to the small pics, camera angles, lighting/shadow illusions or general customisation by the owner, but;
The hood scoop is way further forward than I'd expect.
The engine seems about 5" further forward.
The rear fender shape as it flows down to the rear tail lights looks too steep.
No in-fill panels at the rear of the hood opening (ie: where the hood handles latch onto with the Arntzs)
Trans tunnel "looks" a little narrower
Front turn signals look lower (space from headlight to turn signal) and facing too far downwards

Not saying these are bad things, just that it makes me wonder if it's an early Arntz or something else. I can't see the engine bay inner panels, pedal box or front chassis rails/suspension, so I might be completely wrong. If so, it's always fun to learn!

I have to agree. Mine is a very late Arntz probably partially assembled by Butler, but there are a lot of differences. The engine is way far forward. My original shifter was nowhere near that position. And agree on the tunnel. My e-brake set-up is a lot different also. My dash layout is a lot different. Not even close to that and if I put in a glove box, it would be about 2" deep. That is the distance from the front of the dash to the firewall in that area.

My bumper mounts are also different. They are a solid bar, not the 2 tubes as shown.

Mine has red seats, but they do not look like those. Also, the rear fenders around the rear wheel look a lot different than mine.

If I recall, you mentioned your gas tank had the fuel door behind the seats. I noticed this has it on the fender. As you mentioned to me a while back, mine had been moved, but my tank sits in the center of the trunk. If this was an early version, I would think it had it in the location where you have yours?

I guess I haven't really seen enough Arntz Cobras to peg it. I wonder if it has a MGB front suspension? I have only seen Butlers, and they do not look like that car either.

I do like the link you posted of the Arntz body. I wish I had the place to keep that.

Looks a lot like another arntz for sale in Palm springs and offered for sale on here years ago. It's bid up over 30k which seems like all the money for what is pictured. I too thought engine was too forward and tunnel was little narrower but overall hard to tell.
