Picked these up this past weekend.
They have the 2" Bennett tube chassis, no engines

Hi, I've just aquired a Bennett square chassis, I think late 60's. Are yours and mine made by Bennett Automotive in Ca you think? Are they still in business?

Brooklyn-427 06-28-2015 02:36 AM

what are your plans for these two projects.

Eskil,
Wow, Norway, a Bennett car made it's way to Norway? Could you post some photos?
I'm not sure where your car was built. Bennett Automotive of San Leandro did design/built the two I posted, and Paul was building square tube chassis prior to building the 2" round tube chassis.
Paul passed away 8 or so years ago.

My plans are to finish them, get them on the road.
The 289 body, which is glassed to the chassis, is the only 289 bodied Bennett car that I know of/about......anyone else seen/know of a 289 bodied Bennett?

Paul Bennett was one of the nicest gentlemen I've ever met. I took an "Advanced Chassis" Cobra to him 10+ years ago for modifications, (straight axle to Jaguar), as I had heard he did great work. His modifications to my car were awesome! Unfortunately, he had too many projects in his shop going on at the same time, so I pulled my car after 14 months, prior to his completing the work.

How did you manage to stumble on them , looks like the was started and hidden away for some time .

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...=13936&thumb=1 Brooklyn-427,

I got them from the gentleman who purchased them from Bennett about eight years ago, he didn't do anything with them, they just sat for eight years.
They came with a "few" extra parts, such as the molds for both cars, chassis jig, tons of drawings/notes.
