I'll reserve my comments about him.
Just chaps my ass.

Just had to say it.

What?! You can't just throw out a bomb like that and not comment.

My understanding is that he was long out to the Cobra business by '98. Yours are the first negative comments I have heard about Ron.

Stop your whining blurp. Why ewe been gone so long? For everyone, my 88 NISSAN pickup beat blur's cobra 0-60 three times in a row. And for anyone on a low-carb diet, don't eat his pasta. They found fish bones in it.

I have to throw my two cents in as well... I met Ron in 1980 just as he was taking over the Arntz car. I actually have Butler #000, which I believe is the first kit sold by Ron when he transitioned from providing parts to Arntz to supplying the Butler version. He is not only a fantastic practical engineer, but was always a gentleman to me (including times he had a right not to be). Sure his toys and parts were expensive, but I always got what I paid for, when it was promised. That in itself is a rarity these days. After not seeing him for years I paid him a visit a year or so ago. Still enthusiastic and passionate about doing things the right way. I have to say that dealing with Ron, hearing the history and stories have only positively added the experience of building and owning my Butler.

You know Roy, Steelcomp was just stating an opinion. He didn't lash out or attack Butler.

You should stop being a bully. Everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Dale J...thanks for the defense...I can handle 65Blur.

Blur,

It was a mistake for me to have said anyhing. By your reaction I can see that you are too emotionally invested in your opinion of Butler to be objective, so it would no good to go any further with this. It would do no good to go any further with this in any sense. I have VERY good reason for the way I feel, and as I said before, it was inappropriate for me to make any comment.

You need to chill.

Dale - he was not stating an opinion - he was throwing a bomb and then not justifying it (kinda like the media - it's not the evidence, but the seriousness of the charge that counts).

Steel - no emotion involved - I would have asked that same question of anyone that makes a statement like that without backing it up. I'm glad you now realize that it was inappropriate.

I'm cool – no chilling needed. :D

But Roy, Steelcomp didn't level any charges against anyone.

From what I read of his post he was just not agreeing with some other members of this board.

He was just stating his opinion without attacking anyone.
