Finally got the T56 installed
This project turned out to be a lot more than I thought! All that is left is to shorten the driveshaft and put the rear axle back together. Hopefully in the next few weeks it'll be done.

Joyridin, You'll love the T56. I have one in my replica. I don't know if you need to relocate the shifter. If you do Mike Forte (a sponsor here) makes a cool relocation kit. It puts the shifter in just the right position and it shifts smoothly too.

I am in the process of relocating the shifter. I am taking a GTO shifter and extending it to mount over the inspection plate. That is going to take a while, but it is driveable the way it is.
