I believe it is a 3550, if so then it uses GM syncromesh.

Web site has lots of info: http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English...cts/tremec.asp

You can also call phone jeff at tremec to verify:
1-800-401-9866.

It is the GM Syncromesh oil. I changed mine out to Ultra Shift from Performance Unlimited. Cobra Valley's Chemicals - Ultra-Shift Transmission Lubricant
Watch out when you go to change the transmission oil when warm. It isn't much thicker then diesel fuel and comes flying out the hole!! I learned the hard way and got oil everywhere!!!

Tremec recommends GM Syncromesh. I used Redline MTL for 11 years with no issues.

I tried the Cobra Valley's Chemicals - Ultra-Shift Transmission Lubricant from Performance Unlimited.
Shifted like crap.

Went to Gm syncromesh and shifts way better.
