There's a lot of variation in builds, but hopefully the content of these threads will point you in the right direction.

Question: Do you have the p/n from the current cable? I'm guessing not, based upon your question, but the only definitive way I know to find out exactly what you have is to pull it and read the p/n.

79-93 Mustang. Ebay has best deal. Get the adjustable cable with the threaded end at the tranny. After the cable stretches from usage you can take up the slack if you don't have a quadrant or firewall adjuster
