Just viewed the segment. What a tremendous slice of publicity for our Club and the Cobra fraternity in general. Bring it on. Well done.

That was great viewing, thanks! Is it just a coincidence that every car had a 302 Windsor?

(Edit: yes indeed, there was a 347 - started life as a 302? I really wanted to see a bow tie though)

One was a 347...me being picky!!:3DSMILE:

Damed if you do damed if you dont

Watching the show, I did think to myself isn't that a coincidence that they are all windsors.

I said to my family as we were sitting on the lounge, watch that come back and bite me in the arse.

When I approached Fletch he asked that we get 3 people to do an interview and have them ready for when he arrives. I thought it would be good to get one person for each state, Peter hancock from QLD, Armin from TAS/VIC and one from NSW Racey Tracey, being a female as well I thought it was a good cross section.

Not once did I consider what engine was under the bonnet.

Are you for F#%king real. If you were at the Nats you would have seen plenty. Man even the most original/authentic cobra had a chev in it.

Cheers

Or green or black or white or taupe.

Bloody blue oval lovers, fancy not organising a real car to be on the show.

I watched that show last night via the link - had not heard of it previously.

I think it was a good representation of cobra builds generally - engine choice notwithstanding - and the nature of cobra events.

Really enjoyed it and believe that it was a good and positive reflection on our cars and events

As an owner/builder and active member of this forum I know this, however that doco paints a very different picture - that's all I was saying.

Sambo,

People have been building Cobra replicas for decades, us Darksiders have only been fitting Chevs for the last few years.

In the overall scheme of things Ford engines would be far more common, so not surprising that the three in the show happened to be Windsors!

I thought it was a good show and nice to see some promotion of the cars we love.

Ben
