Need Advice, Tenrocca ....

So to ensure a "more original look" i put paint on my bare aluminium body, and then sandpaper it down to get that Aluminium look. Right?

Car looks good Andrew Though havent you been told not to pick up strays , have you gone through rego yet

Tenrocca 11-05-2009 01:08 PM

No I have been driving it a bit on an UVP, will look into rego probably in the new year. Had enough of working on it for now.

boss290cobra 11-08-2009 04:01 PM

I enquired about the UVP and was told by the RTA that you dont need it for the purpose of rego inspections or for work to be carried out on the vehicle for the purpose of rego so long as it is a Point A to Point B trip with no unnessecary stops in between and the permit covers the car if it has to be left at one particular place for up to 28 days not so it can be driven around for 28 days and that if stopped by police you have to prove that you are booked in at a certain place for works to be carried out, as i was pulled over last week just 5 mins from home on route to moorebank and had to sit for an hour while the cop checked everything out, had to ring the wife to bring the book of reciepts for engine ,body, chassis etc to prove "It wasn't stolen from Perth" as stated by the lovely Police "Orifficer" so my advise is make sure you have a booking made before you venture out , cause they will ring to confirm it.

Cheers Darrell

Yeah I personally would still be wary about driving without a permit just to save those sort of hassles. Its not expensive to get one, and despite driving past quite a few cops Ive not been pulled over once. I guess they see the sticker and assume its OK. The last permit I got they didnt even ask for a reason I was moving it. Cheers

fair enough when do you plan to do your brake test as i have access to Eastern creek in early december if you are interested

Tenrocca 11-09-2009 03:05 AM

I really cant see me looking at engineering till next year, lot of dramas at the moment.....Mrs C had a motorcycle accident on the weekend and is going to be laid up for a few weeks then on crutches for 3 months so I dont think theres going to be any shed time for a while. Could have been a lot worse - fortunately only non important bones like feet and arms!

boss290cobra 11-09-2009 03:59 AM

sorry to hear that hope she has a speedy recovery, no shed time that has to be hard, not even when she is sleeping, just kidding will it be ready for shelbyfest
