LS1 Auto problems... HELP!

I need help from people who have put an LS1 (or variants) and Auto in thier Cobra.

I have put an LS1 and Auto in my Dragster and am having major problems. I can't get the gearbox to engage 1st gear or shift automatically. I know there is power to the box, because I can hear the solenoids working when I initiate them with the scanner.

The box is a brand new 4L65E. I have the PRNDL switch wired up to utilize the neutral start function.

The strange thing is, when I scan the PCM and flick through the various shift positions, the scanner says it's in park all the time, regardless of shifter position.

Has anyone come across anything similar to this??? If anyone has any ideas, can you please call me on 0402 427 308.

I need to race this weekend so I'm getting desperate

HELP

What loom did you use?

VT-VX or VY ?

I had a situation with the LS1 auto in my cobra were I didnt have the speed sensor hooked up to the PCM properly and it would not change.
Then when I did wire it up it still woudnt change and I found the sensor itself was faulty. Once I replaced it everything was fine.
It did however engage in 1st but would not change, the whole thing went into limp mode.
Can you engage reverse?

I used a VY loom. The colours coming from the Neutral start switch are Grey/Blue, Grey, Black/Red, Brown/Blue, Light Green.

The GY/BLU went to the Powertrain Interface Module and the GY went to the start relay. (I now have GY/BLU going to earth and GY going to the start relay.)
I know that the PIM sends the GY/BLU wire to earth after a valid signal from the PCM. What does the PIM do to the GY/BLU wire once the engine is running???

The BLK/R goes to earth.

The BR/BLU and LG wires are for the reverse lights. (I don't have these connected)

With the ignition on and the scanner running, (logging PRNDL status), the PRNDL status remains in PARK regardless of shifter position.

A big thanks to Justin (Doubledip)... :)

I spoke to Justin on the phone and he asked if I had an Auto program in it. I started to doubt myself as to whether I had actually flashed in the wrong program.

I checked the program and it was definitely an Auto tune. So I was initially a bit bummed out, having thought it could have been an easy fix.

I then thought I would just try flashing in a stock Auto tune, (just a stock VY Berlina tune). Well what do you know, as soon as I fired up the scanner I could see the PRNDL status was in neutral (it had always been stuck in Park). Then as I flicked through the gears the PRNDL status changed each time.

I haven't actually fired up the car to see if it's fixed, (as it was late last night and my neighbours would not appreciate the noise), but I am 99% sure that it was the problem.

Thanks again Justin. :3DSMILE:
