Engineers thoughts on heim jointed suspension

Have manufacturers been required to submit test reports or other documentation to allow heim joints (rod ends) on suspension components? Is this something that has drawn any attention from the engineers during inspections?
I'm specifically thinking of the 4 link rear suspension in some Cobras and the rear suspension in GT40s.

Thanks,

Craig

Craig,

My Cobra went through engineering recently with heim joints on the rear end. No comments received.

Cheers

I didn't come across any rule in the ADR's regarding heim joints. The only issue is that unless they are sealed they will wear out reasonably fast and... they are noisey in the chassis.

Thanks for the input fellas!
