Anybody in AU used Racedeck flooring?

I was shocked to discover today that a good commercial epoxy is more $ than something like Racedeck....

Has anyone in AU got a Racedeck floor, and if so what do you think of it?

I'm not in AU but I have had it in my garage for about 12 years now and it has worked out well. This after two $$$$$$ paintings by so called professional garage floor people. It is a little noisy when you walk on it but other than that it has stood up well and I have used floor jacks, regular jacks, and my Kwick Lift on it with no problems.

I am using RaceDeck flooring (some pics in my gallery) Only had it for about 2 years but is holding up fine easy to clean up oil spills ect still looks like new. The only thing I don't like about it is the price.

I also look at 'Garage Journal Forum' and there are is a lot of discussion about racedeck and similar products...I've also noticed those garages with flash epoxy floor coatings usually have little carpet squares under each wheel of the parked vehicle...real convenient !
Another thing about racedeck, which won't apply in Australia, is the expansion and contraction over the weather temperature range. In the warmer months of the US weather the racedeck tends to buckle as it expands against the walls....maybe these blokes should have layed the stuff during the hottest months of the year.

Good morning.

I have had Racedeck in my garage for well over a year.

I went black and white for the look..%/

I have had no problem at all with it.

The white does get a little dirty, but a scrub once every few months brings it up like new. I enter my garge off a laneway that has dirt and gravel on it and found this cleans off easily.

Expansion is not a problem. Trim the deck 5m off the wall and use silastic at the wall edge. I placed the tiles from the middle out. I do not have tiles directly under the cars - this is epoxy painted and it about a 1m wide of painted concrete.

I will get Todd to post some photos.

The agent is in Adelaide - Melrose Park and is extremely helpful with your order. I had two follow up orders that were posted quickly.

Cost - well I thought it was cheaper than placing outdoor carpet. It was only a few dollars more than commercial floor coatings.

I can take it with me when I leave - if I ever do.

I can buy one or two tiles if they are damaged.

I can add tiles if I want to do extra flooring.

I layed it myself.

It was one third the quote/cost of tiles both vinyl and ceramics.

It looks sh!t hot.

 and I am not an agent or salesperson.

I have some that I bought from Costco. If you follow the instructions and leave a small gap against the wall, you won't have any problem with it expanding and buckling. It snaps together easily and you can cut the tiles with a table saw (among others). Seems to clean up pretty well.

The other thing that it seems to help with is flat spotting on bias ply tires like Billboards. I have Billboards and haven't noticed that flat spotting is a big deal. I think it helps that the tires are on the tiles and not on concrete. But that's just a guess.

Oh, and if you somehow damage a tile, you can just replace it. Anyway, my $.02.

I can check if I can ship "Swisstrax" tiles to your location. Send me a PM or email with your address. I will also give you detailed information and many photo's of these tiles. I have tested the top three company's for 10 month's.
Their warranty is the best too.

Thanks for the offer Kevin, I am aware of several of the many other brands of flooring. There are several options here in Australia, I'm looking at Racedeck as they seem the most popular and have sold more than anyone else from what I can tell.
