Anyone on this forum going to the Geelong all Ford day 21st Feb at Deakin University.

Good to catch up with you at the All Ford Day. May catch up soon at Winton Raceway. I thought that the lack of club cars was very noticeable. No GT40's there and one or two other Cobras. Not sure if the All Ford Day organisers would be happy with the lack of clubs participating...:eek: Guess the fact that they have such a hard line on pre booking makes it hard for open cars to pay up front and not attend due to rain or dust storms..:confused: Still a reasonable event if you like Falcons..%/ |

The attendances started going down the year they introduced the pre paid club displays. The club isn't going to pre-pay for 30 Cobras then if it rains have 5 turn up. |
Mmmm yes the club displays were down. I would guess about six clubs displaying. But big numbers of cars on each club site.
Mustangs had about 30 cars, FordGT had about the same. Interestingly the program indicated that they have around 7,000 spectators each year and this number has not grown. It must be the only show that does not grow. Just look at Hanging Rock and the car numbers and spectators there - can they possibly get any more in..:confused: A great event that you just turn up too. |
