Interior is done

Hi everyone,

Been working up a sweat here.

Now I know why Trimmers charge so much - its hard work getting into every little part of the car etc.

Anyway here's some photo's if your interested of my interior.

Just finished the carpet in the footwells tonight. Only the Boot to go now. Hopefully that will be a bit easier.

Need to apply some black paint in some of the areas around the hinges etc.

Rgds

Gregg

Looking good Gregg. Very satisfying process. Is the padded steering wheel compulsory in Victoria?

Merv - as far as I know you dont - I just liked the feel of the thicker steering wheel. Also Ian from CR reckons a few people thought the hard thinner wheel was a bit unconfortable on a long trip.

True. You have a good wheel there. I used the thicker Motolita wheel with the leather surround and was surprised to learn that it was fine for compliance purposes. I find wood framed wheels a bit slippery in QLD summers, but they do look nice. Boot carpeting is fun too with all kinds of arrangements possible. Removable panel/s are useful to get access to any parts in the rear of the car (filters and so on).

Yes I have a hinged panel to get access to the fuses, battery, fuel Reg, and Relays.

But I think the boot will be easier than leaning into those Footboxes. At one stange I was a bit high from sniffing the glue :-)

Having lots of fun though - and I have already made list of little jobs I'd like to re-do like neatening up some wiring loom etc. Thats fun its never finished.
