Fantastic - great sound too !

And a nice little wave to finish the fun...

I wonder if the cyclist crapped himself with the side pipes barking at him?

That' a mate of mine Gary.... He lives in Christchurch and is an absolute nut case! I actually had a crack at him about driving the way he was...>!

Car runs a of all things a 1uZ! 8tb and he built and fab'd most of the car himself... He has just sold it and I believe has bought a RCR GT40 of Fran....

As I said..... he a nutbag!

But a lovely bloke too....

Great sound!

Jeez, I can just imagine what your mate does on the beautiful road from Christchurch to Akaroa!!! Perfect road for bikes and cars - I think I saw more motorbike riders scraping knees on high speed corners there than during a MotoGP race...

jcraigau 05-06-2010 06:05 AM

Reminds me a lot of the old Pacific Highway from Mooney Mooney back into Hornsby...

twobjshelbys 05-06-2010 05:19 PM

Holy cow! Everyone is driving on the wrong side of the road :)

Once again, the great equalizer is a road t**d. (Kind of like a VW MicroBus but I couldn't figure out what it was - the Toyota one maybe?)

Gary's car!

Uses both sides of the road like a lot of Kiwis! I was nearly wiped out a few times on the South Island. Great sound track!

Seagull81 05-07-2010 04:02 PM

Super movie and what a nice road!

Rob. Smith 05-08-2010 06:37 AM

I used to do the same thing when I was an apprentice (18) This bloke on a Honda 4 wasn't the best rider and my Datsun 1600 with a race cam and other goodies gave him a mirror full of grill. He would go into corners with the foot pegs scraping and I was right behind. 60 mph.
What fun when you were young and stupid. Imagine what would have happened if either of us lost it ? By the way this was in suburbia as well. I think ageing and mellowing isn't too bad of a thing. Ha ha ha.

Most of those would be tourists who for some strange reason get totally mesmerised by the scenery once out of the populated areas & forget that we drive on the LH side of the road- the west coast & the road into milford sound seem to be the worst affected. Cyclists that travel in groups are the worst- meeting a bunch of these on a blind corner leaves you little option but take to the scrub to avoid them...:)

True Jac. Those roads are dangerous places at times - and the milk trucks! Hey on your photos what are those bucks?

Maurice Butler 05-09-2010 10:04 PM

they have been wait in line behind all the rest of his projects, planes seem to have him side tracked for a while

Merv and Sharon 05-09-2010 11:08 PM

A Daytona AND a Cobra wooden buck, ready for ally paneling?

The milk trucks down my way are pretty good, other than you need something with a bit of get up n go to pass them- but then I dont drive much during the day..

The Bucks- front one nearest camera is a Daytona & rear is a flip front that I am modelling on 'The Turd'. Actually extracted the Daytona on sunday via 20ton digger ( Both bucks are/were in loft upstairs ), its now safely parked in the garage at home- was running out of room to get decent sight of profiles from left to right...spent all day today rebuilding shed front ...... didnt seem to take that long to make the hole to get it out..... :)
