Aluminiam body???

I was just asked if anyone is manufacturing a Cobra in aluminium in Australia. I remember G Force or similiar had bucks and had manufactured some. Any ideas and estimate of costs???

I remember back in 05 approx G force had one on their website for about 80k from memory and then I saw it again for sale by someone else for about 200k...

Figures and times are rough but there was one somewhere....

A couple of years back I had a look through the RMC factory and Kym had two aluminium bodies under wraps. From memory it was $60k extra, not sure where they came from.

Thanks guys.

They have sent an email to 'G Force' and they do not respond. I checked the 'G Force' site out prior to posting the Thread and could not see the aluminium body specified in pricing.

There is mention of aluminium, but it is in reference to a glass body being an exact copy of the aluminium - if I read it right.

Guess will just send them in the direction of Kirkham or similiar.

Cheers

Three outfits down my way in NZ that have built Alloy bodies in the past on a ' one of ' basis, plus a couple up auckland way, I think most would want a 'Roller' chassis to build it on--- prices were in that 'if you have to ask........' region.

Jac Mac. Thanks yes one is over here. I told the enquirer that he may need to go to USA. Could not get a response locally. At $60k it is not a bad deal with everything in the kit!!

Bernie,
Here's what you do. Buy a Kirkham and turn it into this.

Then do the same to the front half and ship it to Australia. When it arrives get rid of the sofa parts and put them together and "Presto" you have a Kirkham Aluminium body. I tell ya it'll work!:D

Hersh:)

Buy a Kirkham body and bird cage and drop it over the top of a compliant Aussie chassis. It's been done before and very cost effective. I would suggest phoning the manufactures as I know most very rarely respond to emails.
