Track Days
Last year I posted here notifying of upcoming track days at Sandown, here in Melbourne, my Cobra was not ready for that one, but I felt sure it would be for this one, on the 17th-18th July! Funny how things take a lot longer than you expect, I wont be there for this year either (in the Cobra). :CRY: Any one living East of Melbourne may be interested in an unusual track day at the RAAF base in Sale, on the 13th June, the RAAF car club hosts the day, and the track comprises of 1.63 km of taxi ways and the last bit of the main runway, dead flat of course, and a very smooth surface, there is a tight chicane on the back straight, empty plastic 200 litre barrels used to mark the twisty bits make for good markers and don't do any damage if you use them to adjust the mirrors! It's a well organised event and cheap too, only $55.00 for the day,and you get at least four runs. It's Melbourne's answer to the "Top Gear " Track!
