Garage Update # 21

Guy's,

Its been a while since I have posted any pic's ( been a bit jealous of Aussie's Monster Garage update :D ).

The painter has been working flat out with 4 coats on the block work and 3 on the plaster, the metal beams needed a few more ;);).

I used the two part apoxy N35 factory floor coating. I started on the right side of the garage as the benches and tools were arriving and they say you should leave it for 7 days before you put heavy stuff on it. I did and it still marked. I think I will wait until it gets a bit warmer and try another coat.
The working side

The display side, this turned up a treat, very happy

The Bar Area taking shape ( thats a 60" TV to give you an idea of area )

Storage and stairs,

R2D2 is hiding in the corner :D. The problem with buying stuff on the net, you cannot see the size of things, I need to add a room just to store the Vacuum.

Just need to finish the bar area and its party time......

Looking really good Stiffy. The white walls certainly make it look bigger inside.

I was talking to another outfit that supplies epoxy floor paint. They reckon 6 weeks after the slab is poured before coating. Another company I spoke to says 3 months. I'm going to try the first guys product and just do the section where the lathe and mill are going to try it out.

They also said 7 days to cure but I reckon that the cold weather we're having lately doesn't help.

Cheers

Looking real good there Stiffy.
Only question I have is are you going to sheet behind the bench griders/polishers with Stainless or something similar?
2 reasons being that there will be crap and crud fly off the wheels (mainly polisher) and if you loose your grip on something, atleast with a steel sheet there is less chance of it punching through the plaster.

These shed builds have got me keen to build one and I am just today ordering a 12mx16m with 4.6m wall heights shed.

Sadly no concrete floor till next year when it isnt as hot (cant afford floor before hand)

Something I recently saw that I thought was clever is if you go to a place thet repairs fridges, see if you can buy the door of and old stainless steel one.
They also make great boards for writting on (same as a white board)
