The unbuilt kit used to be sold by username ShakerCentral (i think). There have been lots of threads about him on here. Dont really want to bring it up again.
For the price they dont look like a bad kit to me. But then again i am used to the RCM that i have which requires a bit more work than the others. For someone that wants to do all the work them self and save the extra $6 - $10k that other kits cost it would be worth a look. |
OK, now I get the picture. Thanks for that. That Robnell drew no bids. Has ended.
|
There are a lot of us building these kits now.
Cant complain about the service that is being offered. And i can decifer the language. ok they are not kirkhams, but then are yours? |
Hi Sjelby,
Im not knocking the kit. As i said they dont look too bad to me for the price. There is a bit of history with the guy that makes them, as there also is with the guy that makes mine (both kits look like they are 90% identical). There are a lot of people that dont like the makers so will take every opportunity to bag out their kits. My kit is far from perfect and i have had to redo several parts of it, but it works for me because i am $10k ahead before i started compared to other more expensive kits. Total budget for my build is $40k and with about 70% of components aready purchased i am well on track to achieve this. For me i needed a cheap kit that i could do everything myself on, so it is perfect. For someone paying a mechanic to build the kit for them its not so good. At the end of the day it is what the person building it is happy with and lets face it, anything that you arnt happy with just gets chopped off and rebuilt. Thats what i have done in a couple of places so far and will most likely do more before its finished. Post up some pics of your build, i am interested to see one of those kits going together. |
Is it definately our old mate Venom0427? Here is his old profile on Ebay:
http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayI...erval=0&page=1 The last neg feedback maybe prompted the new user ID? Robnell looks nice. :) |
You have to laugh at his replies to Negative feedback. Always the buyers at fault.
Even when items dont turn up, he is into the buyer for not ringing because he is moving shop. |
i trhought i had some photos in my gallery but they are all gone.
Because i am going to be using the mustang 11 front and commodore rear the chassis has to be redesigned so my first chassis is now under someone elses body now. The new chassis will be re engineered and put out as the mk11 chassis in the future. My 4 tyres turned up from Tire rack in the states today.$750.00 all up delivered to my door.Local shop wanted $400 each for the back tyres. I willl post some when i get back from Sydney next week,.
