So its a legit poster then. I thought someone had taken the photo from the internet and developed it into a poster to sell on ebay.

Yes its a nice looking car, i love the airbrush work.

That's Phils car. It is his birthday today!

In my opinion this is the best Cobra in Australia. The list of trick stuff is almost endless. Anyone who can win best engineered at the Summernats deserves praise!

The photographer who took the photos for the Street Machine article owns the pics - in my opinion Phil should get royalties!

I seem to remember that it was from a photo shoot for an Aussie car mag...but then ended up on a poster made in the States.

Phil can ......er.....Phil you in with the details !!

Yes, that is my car.

The photographer who took the pics on behalf of street machine owns the photos, So he has the right to sell them to a poster company and collects a royalty for everyone sold.: mad::mad::mad:

I had no say in this and was not even asked for permission, I was pretty pissed off, not for the money but the principle.

The interesting thing is that the poster has the Heading "Shelby Cobra" and is endorsed by Shelby America, not bad for a replica.

The poster is also available for sale on The Carroll Shelby official site.

Maybe I should have a go at the most Authentic, Shelby thinks it is.:D

Thats funny.

I went to the shelby factory in Vegas and did the tour. The guy that was running the tour was very clear about their feeling on replica kits. They still make the continuation models so are quite protective. Its funny that they are selling a poster that goes against what they think.

They also said on the tour that Carrol Shelby still does autographs on parts that are sent to him with a donation to his charity. Considering his age i think that this and his other business ventures are a fantastic effort.
