These guys have a great website showing different instrument styles and clusters

gee wizz Merv I thought that I spent some time on here, but you gotta take the cake mate, you're always on here being helpful !
Thanks Rog;) |
I did a lot of research on this aspect Rog! After the paint job, I reckon that the dash is the most important feature - as others notice it and as you sit in the car.

This probably won't help much but.....here it is anyway!

Forgot about that one Warren didn't use the MG warning light ( second for right ) went for the traditional single lights.

Greg, sorry to go off track a little, but I can see a heap of spektrum gear behind the pic of dash in build.
What do you race? I was in an old Xray XB8TQ for 2010 and have decided to switch to Truggy this year. Bought a new M-Spec MBX6T. DX3s radio, Savox LiPo servos and running with last yeras engines MG66 modified GO engines. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...ad/photo-1.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...d/SDC10716.jpg |
Fiarly simple but effective. I am thinknig of changing out some of the switches.

Thanks Fangs, nice pic but the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car!!:LOL::LOL:**)

A few more Rog. This is becoming a useful thread. I personally like the flat dash, traditional style. Here are some variations however ... a classic 60s style, wooden one and a carbon fibre laminate.

One thing i have been noticing is how different the steering column location is on each car. Some kits have the column quite low with room for a small gauge above and others have the column up much higher.
With my car, my column is almost touching the the top of the dash. I cant get it any lower without the wheel getting too close to the seat. I assume it all comes down to how low the seat mounts are and how high the chassis rails are. |
