All Ford Day last week

Hi all,

I missed the All Ford Day this year.

Did anyone make it?..

I was wondering if there were any GT40's there or Cobras that I missed. First time I have not been down there.

Only 2

Mr Big Mac,

AC302 and I went to keep the CCCV on the radar.

A bit of rain kept the crowd down I think.

Stiffy,

Good to see you guys headed down. I was caught up in Portland.

Spoke with a guy who drove down in a GT40 followed by a CSX numbered Shelby GT.

Both big dollar cars and rare. They were told as they had not booked they had to park in the general car area.

Appears the organisers did not appreciate what they were looking at - would have cost the organisers to have the car/s there on display..

They went down to Lorne on the Ocean Road instead of parking at the All Ford Day.

The lack of GT40's Shelby cars, Cobras is indicative the organisers need to get a car person involved in organising the day.

 .. you just turn genuine Shelby cars away....

Well done anyway as they raised a few dollars for charity.

Booking

Big Mac,

Its the only event that you need to book your car/club prior.

I like the idea, it means the club can be grouped together and the organisers
can do their thing.

Its only $20 bucks to do this, it cost $60 to get there in petrol ;);)

Yes it is a good idea to book spots. The cost is/are very reasonable also.

If you decide to go down at the last minute, they need someone there to allow rare and show vehicles in. From memory last year it was a Mustang and late Ford Falcon carpark..

And they turn away GT40's and genuine Shelby's..%/

Will try and make it next year. Maybe a club site. I am not sure why there are so few street rods, Cobras and GT40 there though..
