Statutory Write-off
Any Body got some info on pricing a write off in queensland - car redbook value $17k, cant see much damage or water marks in photos.

From my understanding a statutory write off can never be re registered.
But if it is a donor then I think your safe to go, as for price? I would try and check on some past sales and see what prices went for. |

I bought a mildly hail damaged 'repairable rightoff' for my P plate teenager a few years ago. 2 y/old Nissan Pulsar, 60000km, still under manufacturers warranty.........$3500. Less than 1/3 of its 2nd hand value. She's pranged it once, & can drive it into the ground, good value!!
The statutory rightoffs go for parts, and pretty cheap, you just won't know unless you turn up to the auction........these days just register online and you can observe live auctions to get an idea. |
There will be a gazillion floaters sold at auction over the coming months, so if the water damage doesn't scare you, you won't need to rush in and buy the first ones you see...
