George Vidovic Python, purpose built racecar with slicks. 1:35.7
Towmaster street registered DRB with slicks 1:35.9 You could say i was happy with that........ |
Some outstanding times, special mention should go to Gav for great times all weekend on road tyres. And well done Ashley.Maybe next King Cobra.
|
Thanks Jason and Tony for another top Shelbyfest. Well done Ash on your times even with a stuffed diff. As Gav said, good on you Ben to get back out there and do well after Friday's episode. I was rapped with my times going from a 1.57 in 2009 to a 1.49 in the shootout on Saturday. The only change was some sticky tyres on the old girl.
Cheers Brett |
Once again guys a great event. Well run.
Congrats to the many member, friends and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the event run so smooth. Maybe some more Victorian cars next year. %/ Perhaps someone can tell me without opening a tin or worms, where the Melbourne Club was.. |
Guys NO point looking at comparing past years results for classes they have changed several times.:mad: The only consistancy is in the non cobra classes.
The lap times are the only measure which are coming down every year |

It sounds to me Jason that it is very close to the way the Nationals is run.I had no idea how the Nationals got King Cobra until it was explained to me on the night. It is scored on the fastest to slowest in each event regardles of class. This means you can win King Cobra without even scoring a trophy in any of the events. Its all about consistancy. Is this how you come up with a winner at shelbyfest.

Thats right Keith.
With a slight difference, race class are not eligible for King or Queen cobra. |
New race committe selected at tonight Cobra meeting.
Should fix any classing issue for next year. :) |
