hadn't thought of that zedn.........where do find the injectors again?:o

Nassty
you may be onto something there, my engine came with no MAF or throttle body so they're aftermarket and probably positioned differently to stock. The MAF is a real tight fit and difficult to reposition. I'm close to going Massflo so things will change again, hopefully it'll behave until then.

If its the Maf it doesnt explain why it would come good when its warmed up.

I reckon the engine is running the warm tune the whole time thats why its no good when cold.

Can you run a scan for codes on the computer?

Greg - I bought a code reader for the small block EEC's. Was only $25.00. Is very useful for reading and clearing codes. Of course you can do it with an LED but slowly.

I bought a code reader and had a fiddle with it a while back, i couldn't get any codes so chucked it aside for later. Maybe I'll have another go.....let you know if I can get any LEDs blinking.

If it's a new engine with any changes from factory your ECU is probably just learing the tune. What you are experiencing in not uncommon for the first few drives.:)
