No Merv the LS are the current, next and future generation :LOL:.

fordracing65 07-19-2011 05:18 PM

I bet with the vette motor these thing really get up and boogie.

Cashburn 07-19-2011 05:25 PM

FYI the dyno results were 421hp at the tire.

fordracing65 07-19-2011 05:28 PM

It does have 412, but the lack of torque just cant be forgotton, supercharged is 550 at the wheel with gobbs of tq, these motors love that, and leave the 4:10 rear gear, get ready to hold on. Ford rules.

I'm with Blykins on this one ;)

Merv - Please, continue to enlighten and educate these poor folk on the nuances of not opting to keep the faith.

...and lord please forgive them for they know not what they do!

Only the blue oval can set you free!!!

Those LS infidles, while they had their day in the sun, no longer stand a chance against the wrath of thee Coyotee, nor did they ever against the real wrath of an FE.

Hoooooooowl.....

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Disclaimer - reality is engines are all the same... Im just poking the fire. If you really want to talk turkey - the only 2 things that really matter when you go racing is weight & tyres (or "tires" for our mates on the other side)

sambo 07-19-2011 06:40 PM

That is one sweet revving engine Doug.

Almost as sweet as an LS. :D

Merv and Sharon 07-19-2011 07:08 PM

Not me Dimis! As I said, I really like the motor I have (as do we all), but if I was starting all over again at build stage I would going the way the Backdraft one is made. Has the sound, the power and importantly for me, the heritage.

LoBelly 07-19-2011 07:13 PM

fordracing65 07-19-2011 07:19 PM

That is a custom tune, there about 390 hp without the tune.

Some fiddling on the dyno but nothing extreme. In the Mustang they under rate at 412 flywheel... Then you remove every pollution control etc and let it breathe through side pipes. There you go. Keep in mind this is year 1 for this engine.

In what platform?

fordracing65 07-19-2011 07:46 PM

2011 stock mustang, my mom, yes my mom, had her mustang dyno tuned last week it was 395 at 6600 rpm, so with the tune your at about 415, with cats and exhaust, they are nice motors, very green

fordracing65 07-19-2011 07:49 PM

JPC racing claims they have a boss 302 5 litre with 500 wrhp, but I think there dyno is on steriods. N/A form.
