Who knows with Tomcat - perhaps Tenrocca can advise :p

...but yeah, for the record, it had me laughing out loud also  :LOL:

Tomcat is probably spot on with his assessment, since most of us Americans couldn't find Australia on a map and, if we could, likely would point to New Zealand.

Very nice car but $288k is a little steep.
Does anyone know what happened to the LHD half fibreglass/aluminium 427 that was for sale in Marrickville in Sydney a while back.
I think the guy was asking $500K,it was silver .

Ray sold his Kirkham in 08ish from memory to someone in Sydney.

Lol,

Ray must be thinking that he found a sucker!

Is that the same dealer trying to sell again or is it the guy that got ripped off?

I heard that car is in a Ferrari dealership in Sydney.

I'm sure they'll find someone with too much money and with no freakin' idea.......again.

So a simple question, what used cobra could you import from the states, left or right drive to get full rego in aus and compliant, is it just that they have to be over 30 years old. where do these shelby continuation cars fit in. tomcat

Seppo or Septic or Septic Tank is Aussie slang for an American. Not sure how long it's been in use but I'd guess it started in the 50's or 60's or possible even during WW2.

It's derived from Rhyming slang (Septic Tank = Yank).

It's funny, in Aussies call their friends all sorts of derogatory names and it's a term of endearment. However some one you really don't like might just be referred to as "That bloke is a bit of a bastard".

I work for a US company here in Australia and it's funny watching Aussie sales guys in meetings. The language is usually pretty colorful from both sides of the table and that seems to be just the way many aussies talk. We sometimes get the odd US expat visiting and it takes them aback at first. Quite funny to watch.

Cheers
