Should be a fun thing.

Roof chop? Very cool

boxhead 06-04-2012 07:03 PM

So is the Beetle (your one) going to be called "Cookie"?

Goes well with Grover, Bert and Ernie.

Gav 06-05-2012 02:16 AM

Jeez Dave, you are so quick it's scary sometimes.

Tenrocca 06-05-2012 03:11 AM

Hahahaha.... I'd like to see you get that ADR approved.

Where do you find this stuff...?
Answering my own question - Judging by the bicycle and dude wearing the satgat hat, I'm guessing Vietnam? Possibly, high-tech stealth technology used by the viet cong.

Tenrocca 06-05-2012 06:28 PM

Google is your friend......

Jethrow 06-06-2012 12:16 AM

Wired up

Spent some time on the Orphan.

Too many hours making sure you don't see any wires in the engine bay, and a few more to go, just waiting to start to be sure everything is ok first.

"Display Only" live side pipes coated and fitted.

A few more hours and its done.

Mando 07-01-2012 06:29 AM

Very nice Phil, can you see out of the LH mirror or is it just for looks?

Regards.

Philm 07-01-2012 06:35 AM

Hey Mando,
Yep definitely see out of the mirror, it also has the convex lens.

Phil

Mando 07-01-2012 06:38 AM

Hi Phil, can you take a couple of snaps of the bracket and mirror please?

Regards.

Philm 07-01-2012 06:46 AM

Here you go.

The Mirrors are Finishline Ray dot repos.

The finishline bracket didn't fit so I drew these up and had them laser cut. (still have to polish them)

The top hole is one of the windscreen bolts and the lower I drilled and tapped the post. (I must credit Tenrocca for this method, and no matter how many copy him, I will always know he did it first).

Phil
