The orphan will be a great turn key car for someone lucky.... The Beatle are an iconic car, especially dropped and black..... Looks like you will need a bigger garage soon, too...... STIFFY |

|
So is the Beetle (your one) going to be called "Cookie"?
Goes well with Grover, Bert and Ernie. |

Where do you find this stuff...? Answering my own question - Judging by the bicycle and dude wearing the satgat hat, I'm guessing Vietnam? Possibly, high-tech stealth technology used by the viet cong. |
Google is your friend......

Thx for the colour info - it looks great. Hmmmmmmm .......

Wired up
Spent some time on the Orphan.
Too many hours making sure you don't see any wires in the engine bay, and a few more to go, just waiting to start to be sure everything is ok first. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...IMG_0717-1.jpg http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...m/IMG_0715.jpg http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...m/IMG_0716.jpg "Display Only" live side pipes coated and fitted. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...m/IMG_0713.jpg A few more hours and its done. |
Very nice Phil, can you see out of the LH mirror or is it just for looks?
Regards. |
Hey Mando,
Yep definitely see out of the mirror, it also has the convex lens. Phil |
Hi Phil, can you take a couple of snaps of the bracket and mirror please?
Regards. |
Here you go.
The Mirrors are Finishline Ray dot repos. The finishline bracket didn't fit so I drew these up and had them laser cut. (still have to polish them) http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...m/IMG_0718.jpg http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...m/IMG_0719.jpg The top hole is one of the windscreen bolts and the lower I drilled and tapped the post. (I must credit Tenrocca for this method, and no matter how many copy him, I will always know he did it first). Phil |
