coolant overflow catch
Hi All
I notice in the regs for the Nationals, there is a requirement for a coolant overflow catch can. A functioning coolant overflow catch can must be fitted to all vehicles. Now not wanting to sound like an idiot and ask a dumb question(maybe I'm too late) but, I do have a coolant overflow tank, but it also has an overlow which has a pipe running to the underneath of the car, (but never drips coolant) I have been passed with this set up in past Nationals, is this all that's required or do I have to have another catch can, for the tank.**) This is the first time I have noticed this regulation. Don't want to turn up and be turned away to fit something that I can do now. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Stuart |
Hi Stuart,
I can't speak for how the scrutineers will view it, but if your catch bottle is just that, an overflow container and not under pressure like a header tank, I would think it is OK. |
Thanks David, its what I thought, but I put the question out there just in case.

Stuart, maybe remove the second overflow hose so no questions are prompted.
