wiper motor problem

Thought somebody on here might have an answer, I have an Austin1800 wiper motor in my cobra, the wipers have worked perfectly fine since i have had the car, i turned the wipers on the other day and for some reason they have decided to go into park in the centre of the windscreen, never happened before, the only way i can get them to stop at the bottom of the screen is to turn them on then remove the fuse when they are at the bottom of the screen. They still work fine just park in the wrong spot, i haven't touched anything and the earth looks good, any suggestions? Thanks...

Almost like the ring on the wiper gear has slipped around or the cam that does the parking has gummed up or moved? They arent rocket science - once you pull the motor apart it pretty obvious how it all works.

yeah guess i'll have to pull it out, glad it's not rocket science it was hard enough trying to do brain surgery....

I used my wipers the other week and found they wouldn't stop after turning off at the switch. I know they're simple in operation but what a pain having to pull the whole dash out.

Thankfully i'm pulling my dash out soon to put new gauges in, so i guess it was perfect timing. :)
