RMC pedal ratios ?

I have a 1996 purchased RMC body Chassis unit and am wondering does any one know what the clutch / brake pedal ratio is ? I have measured mine and it is between 5:1 & 6:1 depending on which point I measure at the pedal end. I have looked at most of the websites and there are conflicting ideas about the bottom pedal measurement...some say measure at the centre of the pedal and others say measure at the bottom of the pedal. Do any the RMC owners have an idea ? I've contacted RMC W.A. and I'm still waiting for their reply.

Rob, Pedal Ratio is measured from the centre of the pedal.

I expect you already know this, but with the stock brakes and stock pedal/master cylinder setup you will have too much front brake. Either look at swapping/modding that production master cylinder to make the front section larger or fit calipers that have smaller pistons in them. Something like Nissan Skyline etc calipers or Wilwood with the correct piston size.

We've been through this before on my old RMC and can probably dig out the piston size we calculated were needed for the front.

This is all assuming stock rear brakes.

G'Day Craig,
Thanks for your reply. My engineer told me to talk to Norm Thorogood. He was the brake and suspension man for the Geoghans and for Gricey. Norm suggested that I should blank off the front port and use the second port to tee off, and work both front calipers...This works ok. I'm really looking for the pedal ratios for my records.. as well as looking at after market pedals because I have fitted an internal hydraulic clutch throw-out bearing and can't get correct pedal travel unless I raise the pedal 50mm higher than the Brake pedal. That is not an option. If you look at the pic you can see the front lower port has a plug in it

Still trying to 'successfully' attach pics.
