Under the influence? DON'T take the chance
A bit morbid for the Christmas break -- but sobering (lifted from GT40s)
TAC Campaign - 20 year Anniversary retrospective montage "Everybody Hurts" music by REM TV ad - YouTube Have a safe break every one:) |
Mmmm timely.
II had the sad news 4 years ago that 5 young people were involved in an accident after festivities. Sadly four died at the scene the fifth died in hospital. Three of them worked for me. One had a brother who worked for me. We now employ just over 260 staff and I hope we get through Christmas.. |
Good stuff Yve.
But jeez there's some graphic footage there. If that doesn't get the message across I don't know what would. |
You mean like these guys here in Perth...
Riverside Drive Crash Two Dead Apparently Vodka-Red Bull, Nodoze and LSD don't mix. A sad end indeed. |
Great video, yes it's graphic but I think it should be played on national television.
Wake up folks, taxi's are cheap! |
Thanks, that's going out to all my friends. Very good.

Graphic yes but it still doesn't appear to be a wakeup for some!!! A worrying trend of late is the regularity of young probational drivers getting into Police pursuits and crashing after the the pursuits are terminated....a good portion are ending up fatalities!! |
I thought the clip was withdrawn from NSW tv because it was too graphic.
jcraigau It's obvious that speed was the major factor( that car was skinned !) Remember when we were boys...100 MPH was the goal. NOW it's 200 Kph (125 mph) The cars are lighter and designed to crush/collapse...at a slower speed... alas young kids will keep on pushing the envelope and several will not make it. I am one that still wonders how I survived all the high speed crashes that I had. ( I at least had the sense to do all those stunts on my own with no passengers) Have a safe and merry Christmas everyone ! Rob. |
That will get your attention. Sobering (no pun intended)
|
Whoa made it through Christmas with just a few staff with hangovers and lack of motivation to work..
Been pretty quite here with only minor accidents in Mt. Gambier and Portland. Our roads have been hit pretty hard by a Police blitz and the Police are starting to move onto the back roads where high speeds are being detected. I am talking high speeds here, according to Police, not just a few over. - was just told by our local Police they are pulling up cars at 130 plus. And even one or two cars confiscated under the Hoon Laws.. Hope everyone stays safe over the New Year. The GT40 Is locked away.. |
I put this video on GT40s.com, it gives a stark reality of what can happen. Times have changed from when driving hammered was accepted. Great video!
