If you have nothing else to do one evening ...
If you have an half and hour or so to sit and move through a Cobra thread, this one may interest those Australians who wish we could do scratch builds more easily (assuming we had the ability).
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/scra...de-fia-10.html Ozgur is a friend of mine in Istanbul, Turkey and is a former leading auto mechanical and design engineer from the US and Europe. He is on to his 4th Cobra now (towards the end of the thread) and designs them on his computer from original measurements, makes a wooden buck and then a model and then a mould and so on. He does everything from the seats, to the hardtops to the body variations. He has even cut the top off a newish Audio to design it into a coupe. His sheds are full of interesting projects. Anyway if you are bored some time and want to see what you could do with time and ability and equipment ... |
Hey Merv, I have been reading this one for some time now.... actually there are many threads on this site which are long but a great read however I have really enjoyed Ozgur's builds and the pure ability of an individual.

True Leigh. I was chatting with him yesterday and his enthusiasm for his two new builds is infectious.
