Doesn't look that bad. License plate was "sik302".......oh dear. ...

Shelby400 03-14-2012 01:57 PM

Its a Statutory Writeoff. Not worth the drama.

Check the make on the rego sticker "HMADE". I wonder which body was used and how hard it would be to rebody.

Tenrocca 03-14-2012 02:11 PM

I think they put that on all ICV's in NSW. Damage isnt always obvious but it doesnt look that bad to be a Stat write off. Potential for someone to fix and reregister as a new icv perhaps?

gjkrv8 03-14-2012 02:19 PM

Depending on how much they are asking, you could even use it as a source of parts if your were building a new kit. All the bumpers, lights, windscreen etc are worth a fair bit.

Going by the shape of the boot near the licence plate light, it's not RMC or G-Force, maybe early CR?

Windscreen glass is no good, and frame has taken a hit.

Dimis 03-14-2012 03:40 PM

My guess is also RMC or G-Force body (but I'm a rookie :p).

Excuse my ignorance, but why not?
Wouldn't you be able to repair it & obtain a "cert of compliance" to get it back on the road? Or No? I'm not well versed in this...

Written-off vehicles
Licensed repairers

I agree that it appears the car has taken a shot to the frame, possibly broken suspension mountings & etc... without inspecting, hard to tell, for me at least.

Given that, once one obtains a "cert of compliance" for the vehicle would it need to be presented as a new ICV and with current day ADRs or would it go on the year of build date with regard to ADRs?

Either way I'd guess there wouldn't be many biding on it cos of the "fear of the unknown" so it could go quite low. Time will tell.

Looks at alot like an Evans/ Wooley kit to me. Narrower in the ass than most other kits

Cheers

Most of that will polish out.

boxhead 03-18-2012 05:55 PM

The inside of that left door is the same as a Wooley car in Alice Springs

*Cobber* 03-18-2012 08:35 PM

I think this car was on car sales a few months ago? It looks familair. The left side damage behind the doors suggests the left side is now shorter than the right.

Mando 03-18-2012 08:55 PM

I don't think it's a Evans/Wooley car, the shape of the body looks to good, to accurate!

Regards.
