I went looking for my build thread and noticed it has slipped to page 6. I've actually been doing a fair bit but just fiddly things, nothing special to report. |
No worries. I'm interested in how this goes as I could do something similar for my T5 in the Dax and get a cool looking gate instead of the boot.

They are pretty easy to make, you just need to heat, bend, weld and machine some aluminium. What's made mine so difficult is I made an exact replica of the real thing (size for size) and now I have to modify the mechanism to have the shift pattern fit.
If you make one to match your existing pattern it should be fairly straightforward.
