TNT and super moon ?

My experience with TNT, so far -- needed another stock 302W, found one in Sydney --paid for and shipped same day -- all going good till it arrived in Brisbane -- many frantic phone conversations about the "badly" damaged item, that apparently fell from the top load--and no satisfaction - YET!

TNT is expensive in my estimation and this from chasing several quotes over the years for the freight of various items from various points in the country. I've always ended using other providers.

I now consistently use e-go which is an electronic front of door booking link into Hunters Express.

Last freight with them I recently had them collect a 135hp outboard on a cradle so about 200kgs a 2 metres long from an address west of Sydney delivered into their Danednong Depot from where I collected.

No damage, no issues and took about three days to appear if I recall rightly, freight cost was $82 but I added $50 worth of insurance just to be sure.

Same crowd quoted about $100 to ship a 60kg brute of a mulcher from the depot in Perth to Dandenong too last year.

Happens all over though, Oz Post managed to crush the top of a PVR I bought from Billy the Goose online days ago.

Fortunately Billy isn't such a Goose and I was emailed a AP prepaid return slip that facilitated the return of the PVR and I await it's hopefully undamaged replacement.

Sorry to hear about the damage though.

I was at their Newcastle depot one friday arvo waiting to collect a parcel and overheard a conversation with the 'controller' and one of their couriers. A customer had just rung asking about the delivery of a briefcase. The controller called the courier and he said that he forgot that one and it was still in his van. The controller explained that the briefcase had plane tickets in it for the next day to leave from Sydney to NewYork. The courier said that he had knocked off for the weekend and the van was back at the depot. He was going to the pub so he will drop the keys off on the way there.......I finally got my parcel and asked how this bloke was going to get his briefcase...The controller just shrugged and said if he gets here before knock off we'll have a look. If not he can get it on Monday. I doubt that bloke caught his flight.

"Badly damaged" is an understatement -- the block around #1 pot is completely shattered, thus unserviceable. What a pack of arseoles --paid top dollar for the service and thats the thanks ya get. Their QA and OH&S must be seriously lacking as well. Man, I'm lookin' for a head to kick in

I have a huge untapped market through work to sell body panels cheap cheap but the freight companies refuse to offer insurance on any. They seem to think it's just natural they will turn up damaged.

There's a few Swift and Shift types out there, not all of them small players.

Thomas Nationwide Transport "TNT" says we're sorry that your goods got damaged (beyond repair) and that you shipped with us.
Beware friends, when shipping stuff -- insist on bullet proof packaging and consider loss insurance -- at least

So you lost the money you spent on their transportation? Use the Small Claims Tribunal (QLD) and name and shame them?
