I hear what you're saying Waz but I suppose what I had in mind was something special, a contemplative moment at the conclusion of the track activities on the Sunday.
Most people would have had their fill of track action by then, and at that time a request could be made for silence in the pits for the running of a tribute lap and one car sets off...sort of like a minute's silence so people can reflect on Carroll Shelby's life, except that in our case it will be a minute's noise, that special sound of a big block Cobra, the sound that means so much to all of us gathered there...almost like the Last Post at an Anzac Day dawn service or the Lone Piper's lament at the conclusion of the Edinburgh Tattoo. Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2011 - Lone Piper & Closing Scenes - YouTube One car, one lap, dusk, the end of the Nationals, the end of an amazing life....awesome. But whatever the committee comes up with to honour the life of this exceptional man, it will reflect the respect in which we hold him, no doubt. |
No worries...
Sounds like something we'd all remember... And something we could arrange easily enough ... Cheers Warren |
Don I like your idea but imo reckon it'd be appropriate at start rather than at end of event. Others will have different opinions which is cool. Either way I reckon a great idea. I'm sure nsw nats committee are watching.

At the start AND the end sounds like a good idea to me.
