Transporting wheels
Hi guys,
I have bought a set of rims and tyres privately from Edens Landing in the below Brisbane area. Can anyone suggest easy freight including pick up and delivery? Are there any major companies in the Shailer Park area? |
i've used "pack and send" before for wheels and tyres, they will pick up and deliver. A bit more expensive than normal courier, but will wrap them and box them before sending.

Shailer Park is just near one of the major industrial areas of Brisbane, I am sure there are plenty of couriers operating out from there

Wheels
Mate I pass through shailer park once a week. Happy to pick em up and drop em off for u if your not in a great rush. I'll be in bundy between now and Christmas if u wanted to hang even longer and I'll bring em up for u.

Spook, you do realise that Bundy is about 500 kms from Emerald don't you? Did you mean to say you'd take the wheels all the way up to Emerald or am I misreading your reply?
Still, I remember a nephew of mine once drove from Emerald to Longreach for a bush dance when he was young and that was about 400 kms. Bush kids seem to think nothing of distances like that. |
There are a bunch of freight companies nearby at Springwood that could help, I'm sure. I am in Prague now but just Google Springwood freight.

I've recently discovered this site:
Freight Calculator Australia - Calculator for Courier, Freight, Website & Ebay one stop shop for freight prices... |
e-go couriers are an options as well.
I have used them for transport on wheels which I have sold and purchased. |
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I thought Shailer park was industrial but my knowledge of Bris is limited.
Spookypt, the offer is a good and generous one, I have a mate in Bundy that could take delivery and hold them hostage until I visit him with much amber ale. The other option is, if my pending job change occurs I might slip down and grab them from Bris on my week off transition, partly because another guy here wants a new fridge and it's only 10 hours each way which is much more bearable with company. Don, yes we get used to driving and driving and driving, it's just part of getting from A to B here, I used to drive to Brisbane and do a days work at the Cat plant occasionally, but not come home the same day. Still, the truckies are the ones that do the real km's, those trucks don't run up a quick million without a steering wheel attendent. |
Whatever works for you mate... Just PM and I'll work something out for you...
