Autos just allow those with small displacement engines to mix it up with the big boys :)

boxhead 09-04-2012 05:04 PM

Gav, I thought you ran an auto so you could keep hold of your cappasoylattechino?

Philm 09-04-2012 06:36 PM

In the arctic

Well in the Arctic we call Wakefield Park in Goulburn .
You will need two hands to have a pee one for the pepper and the other for tweezers. it is also know as having 2 belly buttons.

Dynoed and ready now

Got my baby back from the Dyno man today.

Far out it is a different car.

I had never had it tuned and apparently it was a bit of a mess.

Leaning out big time - no wonder there was a lot of heat under the hood :-)

(Also as my LS1 came out of an SS Ute, they turn on some Tourque limiting feature, thats gone now :-) )

Went from a poultry 180RWKW to 225. That from a stock LS1 without any cam, heads, intake, mods etc.

Tourque is much better also.

Roll on Nationals.

cheers Gregg

Ah the magic of a tune!
It will feel like a brand new car. I had my Commodore done after an exhaust upgrade and got 232RWKW. Better low down pull and fuel economy...

LJ,

305 HP nice ! I'm an old fart (according to the youth) 54.. but one thing I can't relate to is kilowatts in engines. Although where I work we produce megawatts in electricity. But engines in horseless carriages was compared to the horses they replaced...305 horses pulling a cart is an impressive sight. 225 kw pulling a cart ? I can't even imagine it.
The young blokes at work ask about power in cars and when I say. say 500 HP they look at me blank ( 500 is pretty impressive in my book) so I say 367 kw they say WOW. I think 500 sounds better than 367.....I'm an old fart ! ha ha ha

Hi Stiffy
After clean up
Plan B. Got the old motor back in the car and dynoed yesterday no good standard 260 boss cams chocked the stack injection
Plan C. Installed a set of Herrod cams today and dynoed made 30KW more with filters on not a bad gain with just cams. Back on track for the nationals.

Philm 09-17-2012 07:57 PM

Rob, I agree with your rhetoric, but who measures the horses' power?
I mean how many Black Caviars are required to make 305 horses? 200 or 201? **)**)

Signed the 34year old lingering fart:p
