Brake balance & pressures

G;day All;

After some 'general advice' regarding brake pressures from front to rear.
Firstly I understand there are so many variables here at play and each car is different, but thought it worth and ask to see others opinions.

I have just had a major spend on some new 17" Vintage wheels with some Kuhmo ecsta xs tyres. I have also put some 328x32 slotted rotors and 6 piston Wilwood calipers on the front (Thanks Craig @ Absolute Pace) and have some 310x32 slotted rotors and 4 piston Wilwoods on the rear. There is a bias valve fitted to the car prior to this upgrade.

Question is, car has approx 50/50 balance, what sort of pressure should the front have over the rear as a general starting point?. I have had the gauges on and have approx 700-720psi at fronts and 600-650psi at rear. Trouble is the bias valve is maxed out and this is the max difference between front & rear available. I have not fiddled with master cylinders at all.

Any advice & ideas appreciated. The car is yet to be put on the road with this combo and may well be ok with the above, but while its in the air and no wheels on I would like to be as close as possible prior to it hitting the road if that makes sense.

Cheers
Chris Lidgerwood

Chris have you spoken to George, the manufacturer of your kit? He does a lot of racing and no doubt has been through all of this before.

I found some interesting reading here and a brake bias calculator and further reading here.
