Seat belts and seat mounts

Hi all,
Does anyone know the part numbers for their seat belts?
Also how have you attached the storks to the chassis and in what position?
Also seat mounts?
Any pics would be greatly appreciated.
Happy new year to everyone
Stan.

Depends on what type of setup you've got. Some reels are located in the boot while some others go between the seat and tunnel.

Regards.

Gday Stan,

You can see my mounts in the walk around video i posted in my progress thread below. I made a small frame to mount the seat belt retractor inside the boot. It bolts through the body and into some mounting brackets i welded on the chassis. I welded in some additional cross members to bolt seat mounts and seat belts to. The NCOP VSB 14 provides guidelines for designing your seat mounts and you should also discuss with your engineer. Most seat belts use 7/16 bolts which will come with the belts.

The seat belts part numbers can be found on the Klippen website. It all depends on the seats you use and the location you mount the retractor. The locking mechanism is different depending on the angle it is mounted. You can get vertical, horizontal and in between. The stalk length will depend on your seats. You need a stalk that places the buckle approximately at your hip so hence the seat height will make a difference.

Send me your email address by PM and i will email you a document i prepared for my engineer. It includes photos of each mount and dimensions. Since our chassis are very similar you can probably do the same.

Happy new year.

Liam

Hi stan,

Its dependant on your mount location. Look at this link:

http://www.apvsafetyproducts.com/wps...088eae1920d9f6

I used the original buckle from the MX5 seat (and its mount) and a K6274 (without the buckles). I made the reel mount, and its level with the floor. Note that the angles need to be within 2 deg for them to work.

Oh yeah and standard length.

Nathan
