How much rear-suspension droop below ride-height?

I am assembling the rear suspension and have taken some quick measurements. With the rear hub jacked to ride height, and the shock connected (without spring), I measured over 75mm of bump from ride height in the setup, and 35mm of droop from ride height before the shock is at full extension.

How much droop do other people have below ride height? There's not much info out there on the Interweb that I can find, I think this information is going to be quite specific to suspension setup, shock valving etc, but comparing with other Cobra's is the best place to look me thinks!

It depends on the length of your coil overs.

Thats why I'm asking - this is really checking that my coilovers are long enough.

I made a strut with heims on each end to replace the shock, so I could measure my desired ride height, That way I could get the correct spring height. Cobras do not have much travel or articulation. You can make a strut like I did out of our sprint car parts & used heims, or buy a couple from Speedway Motors, in Lincoln Nebraska.

I also used a set of digital weigh scales on all for corners, with the struts, to adjust the ride height, and got it pretty damn close to equal weight bias, front to back/corner to corner. Worked very well.

QA-1's installation guide suggests the shock be ~40% compressed at ride height. You're at about 32%. You may be pretty close to correct, given the limited travel available.

Thanks for the replies. My measurements are based off the manufacturers recommended ride height of 120mm, and I'm thinking of dropping that to 110mm, so should be fine.
