Ugly....

Mmmmm bet it is still for sale.....%/
|
Mmmm and it just appeared in Just Cars and for the same price. Guess the price was right...
In Just Cars it is described as... Possibly a stroker, 1965 car and Ford Dealer delivery papers.. Not sure how it can have Ford Delivery papers.. Rego number QCOBRA Victoria..... |
Has anyone rung the seller to see if they reckon it's a real one? I've been tempted to call.
|
I emailed them asking why its so expensive, they replied "because its a 1965 cobra", i followed up asking for more detail, waiting for another response....
|
Its a Real one !

AC Cobra for sale
I made an enquiry on the sellers website stating a few points,
The car you are advertising is totally misrepresented firstly its not an FE engine, it doesn't have the transmission stated in your advert and asking almost original price for something with an approx value of $35000. The car hasnt original wheels as they are bolt on, the interior is totally incorrect. Myself being a cobra enthusiast who has built 3 cobras and currently owns a shelby endorsed car this car doesnt even make the grade of reasonable. Also you list the engine as 6978cc and then below in the brief comments you list it again as a 4.7L, the latter is basically the type of engine installed in the car. |
" We have Ford dealer sales certificate 1965 Cobra,
and USA Title 1965 Cobra" |

Thought it was only fair, as although Spooky found it earlier in another thread , this thread has facilitated action on the vendor (not on me for props more so the vendor thinking oops)...so feel obliged to close the loop. If the add remains extant...well Flame away... Clearly another monster creation...but I do like this one... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ns_monster.jpg |

A bigger concern is if someone took this car as labelled thinking it was a 1965 car.
The dealer has misrepresented the car also stating it is a 1965 car. According to the Shelby register every 1965 car has been accounted for and has a CSX number. And far more valuable. Numerous state DMV's in the States register the car as the year the car is copied from or based on. That is a 1999 manufactured car can be registered this way as 1965 car... Yes perhaps someone should ring them and find out what is going on. Perhaps the person (Maria) is selling a car at a price or close to what they have paid. Ripped off in the USA? |

Me either.

Here's a story...
I know a gent who is in the automotive business, he owns many exotic cars including lambos and ferraris. He has NO interest in selling any of them, but the thing is, if his business owns these cars he gets to claim the overhead costs while keeping them. For his business to own them however he needs to be seen to be selling them ;) So he lists the cars periodically asking astronomical figures. This may be one of those simple cases of not all is as it seems. Just sayin'... |
Mmmm Dimis you have found me out... Been reading my Carsales adds!!!:D. Mmm hope the tax guy isn't onto to me..,%/
