A Series Rd 1 - Morgan Park (Pool Circuit)
Seems the event was pretty much washed out with most guys not going or leaving for home Saturday. Looks like Yve's the only one who got anything offically posted before the rain came down.... AGAIN!

Yep we got there Friday & finally took the cars off the trailers when it had stopped raining at about 4pm... no practice!
Friday night it rained and rained and rained... Saturday morning drove out to the track (still raining). They deicded to run the event on the shorter circuit. Some of the cars on street tyres went out for a run.... first corner, first car, big lose and slid nearly all the way to the tyre wall (prob 100m away). So our cars on slicks were never gunna run. Yve swamped the car getting to the track... got stuck in the middle of a flooded creek... Maybe Chris (aka Mrs Flatchat) will enlighten us as to how that happened?? Yve had DOT tyres on so went for a run. I didn't see it because for us the risk was not being able to get back to Brisbane. Every local you talked to had a different view on how long and if the main bridge would go under water. So we came back to Brisbane before lunch on the Saturday. I haven't heard how the rest of the weekend went, I know they would have had a fair amount of rain according to the Weather Radar. |
